NEW HCPCS code C1849 – Skin substitute, synthetic, resorbable per square centimeter

On July 1, 2020, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) established a new Healthcare Common Procedural Coding System (HCPCS) code C1849 synthetic, resorbable, skin substitutes, which is applicable in ASCs where it is assigned to the high-cost skin substitute package. The CMS has confirmed that C1849 is applicable to Microlyte® Matrix.
